Top Gun Maverick: advertising campaign
Public Domain: billboards/digital billboards , posters, bus advert.
Print: Appeared in a series of Film magazines.

Social media: social media filters
The 'Top Gun:Maverick' marketing does a good job at targeting its audience in multiple different ways. It appeals to its mostly white men audience by showing actor Tom Cruise as an 'ideal self' doing many exciting things that men are interested in (flying jets, riding motorcycles and looking cool). It also presents Cruise as an ideal partner to the women audience, as what Cruise is doing would appear attractive, posing on a motorbike, infant of a plane etc. Another way it does this is through its social media filters, allowing anyone to appear wearing the iconic helmet and aviator sunglasses that Tom Cruise is shown wearing in a trailer they would have just watched.
